DINAMIKA PENGEMBANGAN PESANTREN BERWAWASAN LINGKUNGAN (EKO-PESANTREN) DI PONDOK PESANTREN SURYALAYA

Islamic boarding schools are the oldest educational institutions in Indonesia which were founded by scholars. established order to educate people understand and implement teachings emphasizing importance of religious morality as a way life. In social national life, can play major role efforts save environment, among others providing insight awareness about protecting environment part practice teachings. This research was conducted at Suryalaya Boarding School is one Schools Tasikmalaya, West Java, has received Kalpataru Award, namely Highest Award from Government Republic environmental sector with category C field Greening activities. The purpose this provide an overview dynamics implementation (Eko Pesantren) period 1905-1952 (preparatory period) 1952-2011 (implementation 2011 present (sustainability). method used study qualitative grounded theory data analysis technique. results show that implemented eco-Islamic its activities divided into preparation, sustainability stages. carried out related environmentally sound activities, especially economic, ecological have impact on lives surrounding community. Related this, several strategies fields framework implementing Eco-Islamic within environment.
